Jul. 28th, 2011 10:36 amHey folks :) I wanted to have a new pattern up today, but unfortunately my life has dissolved into a hot mess. I need to move out of my apartment by noon tomorrow, and open the registration desk for AnimeIowa by sometime tonight. Between the two of them, those tasks have me almost completely occupied.
If I get a spare hour or two, I'll try and see if I can't get the pattern up anyway. Otherwise, well, I'll either see you next month, or at AnimeIowa.
For those of you who can make it there: I'll be running the panel Plushie Madness at 5:00 pm Friday. I'll be at the con all weekend, wearing this and handing out flyers for the Brain Slug Party. Hope to see you there!
Edit: I'm officially back and more-or-less recovered from AnimeIowa! Special thanks to everyone who stopped to admire (or buy! :O) my work, who showed up at my panel or just asked questions, and everyone who showed up in general. I've got some unpacking to do after my move, but I'm hoping to get the "Lemonsnout" (officially: small scalemate) pattern up later this evening or tomorrow.
On an unrelated note, a friend of mine from a feminist blog I follow is selling bearded dragon amigurumi with 50% of all profits going to benefit live bearded dragons in rescues. Please stop by if you're interested in helping animals in sticky situations. [Content Note] for some discussion of people being jerks to animals.
